Latvians made more than 5 million trips last year
In 2025, there were 1.20 billion personal and professional trips made by residents in the EU, a 1.4% increase from 2024 (+17 million trips). Of the total, 848 million were domestic trips (70% of the total) and 264 million were foreign trips within the EU (22%), which means 92% of the trips made by EU residents were intra-EU. This information comes from data on trips by EU residents published by Eurostat today.
