Bulgaria Could Raise Over €1 Billion With Bank Windfall Tax
A temporary tax on extraordinary banking profits could generate more than €1 billion for Bulgaria without increasing VAT, personal income tax or social security contributions, Fiscal Council Chairman Simeon Dyankov says in his analysis, “Benefits of Taxing Banking Windfall Profits in the European Union.”
