Bulgaria’s Diesel Export Decision Draws Criticism After Trump-Putin Supply Deal
US President Donald Trump’s agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply diesel to the United States and global markets has intensified criticism of Bulgaria’s decision to lift restrictions on petroleum product exports, with GERB leader Boyko Borissov warning that Bulgarian consumers and businesses could bear the costs.
Trump announced on Truth Social that Russia would immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel to the United States and global markets, followed by another 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons immediately afterward. He said the agreement had been reached during a discussion with Putin.
