Bulgaria Urges North Macedonia to Fulfill 2022 EU Commitments
Bulgaria expects North Macedonia to fulfill the commitments agreed in 2022, including constitutional changes, and has set no additional conditions for its EU accession, Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova said after meeting her North Macedonian counterpart Timco Mutsunski in Sofia.
Petrova described the bilateral talks as constructive, noting that North Macedonia had requested the meeting and she had agreed to it. She reiterated Bulgaria’s support for the country’s European perspective and said the requirements for progress remained unchanged since 2022.
